Cognitive Interviewing is a very powerful investigative interviewing strategy that is based upon solid scientific research within cognitive science, memory, psychology and communication. I have used Cognitive Interviewing throughout my law enforcement career with the Connecticut State Police where I served the majority of my time within the Major Crime Squad. I teach Cognitive Interviewing throughout the United States and abroad through my company LIES, LLC Linguistic Interrogation Expert Services, and I recently started an online training course on Cognitive Interviewing, which will make it much easier to learn the techniques that can extract significantly more information from people with greater accuracy.
