If you improperly interview a victim or witness, you can distort the memory and information, making it less reliable and possibly misleading! It it is also a crucial skill for investigators and detectives since they often are tasked with conducting lengthy interviews and interrogations, taking statements, assessing the credibility of information, conducting cold cases, etc.
